What to do with air pump line and headers?
Hey Guys. I have a '94 F150 4x4 351 that I'm installing headers on.
I have made a custom EGR tube and plumbed it into the header. Header has an o2 sensor fitting so that is also taken care of. I will not be running catalytic converters on this exhaust. I want this to run properly with the performance gain from the headers.
What should I do with the air line that goes into the exhaust? Like I said before- no cats so it is not really needed any more right? Should I plumb it into the exhaust and be done with it or can I delete it or the air pump system?
Need some advice ASAP please as I am installing headers and welding exhaust up shortly.
Thanks for any advice!

Yes delete the complete air injection system, plug the holes in the back of the heads with 5/8" coarse thread bolts, plug the vacuum ports on the TAB and TAD solenoids but leave them electrically connected, and if you don't want to mess with installing an idler pulley just leave the air pump there.
O2 sensor MUST be installed in the header collector and connected to the computer.

If the above stated is done, than I should not see any codes created for the check engine light, correct?
Thanks
