2013 F250 storage
Just got my truck yesterday. My wife and I are truckers and are getting ready to hit the road for 6 weeks. I have read about adding an additive to the fuel, and topping the tank off before storing, but can't find anything else diesel specific for my truck for storage. Does anyone have any other tips for letting my new truck sit for that long?

Alot of people say to fill the tanks so condensation doesn't build up, but I've never had a problem with that. But then my vehicles have never sat for longer than two weeks. If it was my truck I wouldn't fill the tank for fear that the fuel might get stale or separate(I've seen it happen with diesel) over that long of time and have the tank nearly empty would allow you too fill it with fresh fuel. Whatever you do take the truck out and run it long enough to get the treated fuel through the system.
If you live in the rust belt I would make sure all the salt is off the truck before you park it. Disconnecting the battery might also be a good idea to prevent any battery issues.
