6.7 in a 7.3 cab???

Hi. Does anyone know if its possible to strip down a 7.3 cc to where only frame and cab is left and rebuild it with a 2011-2013 6.7 ps? Will the new motor fit in the old cab and will the interior fit? Im sure ther will be welding.. Would also like to do the front bumper, grill and al that but iv seen that been done. This probably sound stupid but its the cheapest way to get a "new" ps truck for me

With all the computers, ECU's, and hugely complex systems that make the new diesel trucks run I doubt that would ever be realistically possible.

Were not talking about stuffing a Cummins into a Ford chassis.. were talking about a new 6.7. Diesel exhaust fluid, that complex dashboard, everything...

Sounds like that would not be the cheapest way to get into one.
Finding a higher mileage used one sounds cheaper and obviously easier.

Not to mention the transmission. No, you would be better off finding a used 2011-12, XLT or even XL.

The reason for this project is that i really want a new sd but the taxes for importing a new truck and get it streetlegal in norway is minimum 100000 dollar, but there are som old worn out 7.3 here. So my plan was to import a almost new sd6.7 powerstroke and move everything over to the old chassi and cab.

put a 12 valve in it, or if you want a 24v

can find them everywhere, people think they were only used in pickup trucks but thats far from fact, bet you can find one around you, takes minimal wiring and you can get adapter plates for the transmission

is there something wrong with the 7.3 where you cant rebuild it?

save a lot more than going the 6.7 swap route
