Steering column shifter help, '94 F-250
Column shift lever broke off in use the other day. Can't find anything in Chilton/Haynes manual about it; only says how to remove and replace the steering wheel and air bag. Well I've got that part figured out, now:
Can I somehow replace that shifter without replacing the entire upper steering column?
Can't find a good exploded view of the assembly but that would help. Any way, I have a good steering column out of the wife's wrecked Ford van.
Bought the truck four years ago with 155K on the odometer; it was a "yard queen" which I restored to running condition. Runs good looks bad. Auto transmission that slips and grabs sometimes, that seems to be a common problem with this model. Thanks in advance!
