need some ideas on new truck jacks
I wasn't sure where else to put this question. I know this isn't about our ford trucks but i need some help with what to use for my work trucks. My trucks dont stay on the main roads very much. Most of the time they are on gravel roads or offroad. I have a variety of trucks to include dodge dakota's to the 2011 f-250 trucks, all of them are 2007 and newer. The issue I am having is finding a jack that will work out in the field on soft soil and gravel. Hi-lift jacks are out of the question due to the fact I have all factory bumpers and we can't afford modifications. So if you know of anything that might work I would really appreciate the insight on it.
Thanks Tim

Under the circumstances, a Harbor Freight bottle jack would be my likely option.
'gotta carry at least an 18"x18" sheet of 3/4-inch plywood to provide a big footprint though. A section of 4x12 Douglas fir may even be better. Make sure to do a test before outfitting all yer rigs... could even use it as a wheel chock for more dual purpose utility.

I've used a 2 x 12 x 12 with my ugly orange 8 ton bottle jack and a floor mat since christ was a baby. The floor mat is for me. This combination has never let me down and I've used them in farm fields to construction sites. If it's an outside dually that goes down I only need to use the 2 x 12.
Don't worry Hio, I retighten the tire when I do that.
