Battery Power Distribution...
Some may know that I have built a custom bumper and have a quick connect for my winch.

I also beef up my wires...

A few weeks ago I had to replace my batteries(gettin old) and I didnt have any choice but to buy the redtop optimas because I am using both top and side terminals. I dont really like the side terminals because they have a tendancy of loosening. They are lead so I cant crank on the stud too much either.
I have been thinking to getting some distribution blocks machined out of aluminum so I can get rid of the side terminal use. I am using a block already on my drivers side battery that runs my amp, two sets of Piaa lights, gauges and f650 dash.
The biggest block they make are 0ga in, 4ga out. I run 0ga for my winch, So I would like to run a 4ot wire from the top terminal to this new block, then from there connect my 4ot crossover cable(which is currently hooked up to side terminals) and connect my 0ga cable from the winch to this block
Has anyone done something like this? I know about the marine terminal clamps, but I do not think they will be capable of running all of this.

We use something called a Mole Bar...at least that's the term I see on the job tickets. They are designed for the high voltage A/C power distribution lines that feed things like street lighting etc. We use them to tap off the battery to power inverters or other high amp draw equipment on our trucks. Here is a photo....
The long tubes are where the cables get inserted. The short tubes have a huge allen head lug screw that clamps down onto the cable. This particular one is for wire sizes #10 thru 3/O. I don't know if they have different sizes. I can try and find out if you would like.
