Havi, dunno if this helps or not....

In my quest to find front disc brake rotors for my '53 F600, I looked at F350 rotors from the 90s's, but no go. The F350 uses a bigger inner bearing requiring a spacer.
Now I find.....Chevy 1 ton rotors are a much closer match. Bearing ID's are within a few thousandths so minor machining would get them there. Only unknown is the bearing spacing, but I think a machine shop could figure that out too.
A caliper bracket would need to be fabbed, but I think later Superduty calipers would be a cinch. The Chevy rotors are 12 1/2" IIRC, and common 8 lug.

This is a lot of guesswork, but I plan to pull a hub off my F600 when it warms up and see whats what.....

Also not sure if 57-60 spindles are the same as my '53, but I have the inner bearing dimensions for the chevy rotors if you want them.

Any info helps! My brother is a parts mgr for the local Auto value, so finding bearing and race numbers shouldn't be too bad to figure out, via dimensions.

Link to the spindle thread I started awhile back.....has a couple useful charts for 48-56 trucks.

Well, Ted, I've given your F450 SD idea some thought, and though it may not be an F450, the F350 is a possibility. I could use the '65/66 F100/250 2wd cab, as it fits '67-79 chassis, and locate a long WB DRW F350 from'73 on up. (front disc brakes, 140" WB)

Not the '57 I was hoping for, but it's still period correct to pair up with my '62 Fairlane.

The down side to the newer F350's ( 65-97 ) is they will all be Twin I-beam front suspension. I don't mind the twin I-beam set ups, except for the tire wear/ alignment problems.

My F-Super Duty is a solid I-beam with some big disc brakes. The down side to the F-Super duty is a 10 lug wheels ( not light ) and some heavy Leaf springs on all 4 corners!

I really want to swap a 57-65 F500/600 cab and front clip onto my F-Super duty chassis. But I need to finish up my 54 F100/78 F150 4x4 frame swap before I start another one.

The 65/66 cab swap onto a late 70's F350 chassis would be the simplest swap. It's almost a direct bolt on deal.

Yeah, I was trying to buy this mid-60's F350 DRW 4x4 back when I had no money after the big recession. Unfortunately I couldn't get it. Then I seen this ad for an F600 w/bed that was similar what I was trying to build, only reg. cab. Then there's this slick w/newer bed for reference. But not to be an enabler, Ted, I do have this '57 F600 front clip available. I'll even throw in the windshield washer reservoir.

Those are some cool looking trucks. I think The F600 fridge is my favorite of the bunch. The 57-60 trucks are so ugly they are cool.

I'm not a real big fan of the newer boxes on classic trucks. But atleast that one is a Ford box and not the usual gm box!

Thanks for the offer on that 57 clip but it's going to be a long time before I'd do the body swap on my 91, if ever. I've probably got another 5 years before my 54 hits the road. And I've got a late 80's 1 ton club wagon project that I'm building too. And before I worry about swapping the body on my F-super duty I have to get the old oil burner running again.

And right now I'm in the no money money club. So all my projects are taking about 10 times longer then they should to get done.

I'm all too familiar with the no money/ 10 times longer club, lol. Front clip's going nowhere. If anything it'll end up hanging from the ceiling as garage art.

I totally agree. Here's a truck that was posted on FB this morning, a lot of work but I just don't think so.

Old thread... but new to me I suppose.

I guess I'm one of the 3... I specialize in just this. But like most have said, it's pricey. Check out the last one I did at the top of my shop's gallery. https://conquercustom.com/gallery
And a little video too
