300-6 motor mount frame perches

Hi there all, I'm thinking of acquiring the necessary stuff to swap my 351W with a 300-6 I have in my possession. My truck is an "83" w/4spd, and I understand most everything I now use will work except the radiator and engine perches. I don't mind buying new radiator but I DO need the perches.

My question is what years will work for the perches? I would assume 80-86 perhaps but some have suggested later years as well so the question is which year perches will fit my "83?

On edit I have thought i should ask..will my current clutch bell-crank/ball assembly work as well?

I hope to source these soon for a swap when the weather warms up some..

Thanks for the input you may have.

The frames are all the same up to 96, so all those will work.

Does any of your bellcrank/clutch linkage screw into the side of the engine block? If so(I know most chevies did) you are going to need a different bracket obviously, since the 6 is a tall skinny engine compared to the v8.

Good info thanks for that. Actually the bell-crank on a six pivots on a stud/ball that screws into the block where the bell bolts on so I hope the pivot point on the 351 which is centered by the bellhousing obviously will be the same since the bells interchange on the motors.

Maybe a little more searching will come up with that answer for sure.. Again thanks for the input

The 1980-1986 300 I6 use one type of engine mount, while the 1987-1996 300's use another. Because of this, the perches are different. You can however mix and match. If you want the correct ones, go with ones from a 1980-1986.
