Grill removal for headlights

Is there step by step instruction to remove grill to replace headlight bulbs? The owners manual isn't clear.

Here is a post with a link for one of Epic's How to videos of the grill removal.
His videos are super helpful.

2 bolts (one on each side) on top. Before you take the bolts out scribe a mark around them so when you put the grill back in, your gap between the hood leading edge will be even with the edge of the grill (if it was even from the factory). The clips epic points out in his video are key to getting the thing off. A long screwdriver will hep you reach them and you have to push down on them to release them. A flashlight will help you see the clips along the bottom after you remove the 2 bolts and pull the top of the grill forward to get your screwdriver in between the radiator and the grill to release the clips. Then follow the owner manual to remove the headlamp lens for bulb change out.

Wow, this seems like a whole lot of work for a headlight bulb. What was wrong with the old fashioned twist socket on the back side of the housing?

There's 4 bolts on top, not 2.

They still have the twist socket on back of the housing, you just can't access them unless you pull the housing and to do this you need to pull the grill. It really isn't that tuff to do, but I agree, it's not that good of a design.

LOL! Good one Paul.
The trick is getting the tabs at the bottom to release.

Heck ive had regular gas burners Trucks and cars, that you would chew your hand and arms up trying to get to that bulb. I think this is a Dang good simple way.and dont have to fight anything.Plus added bonus while your there clean bugs outta everywhere.

I think us 6.2L guys have it easier than you 6.7L guys, at least we can still access the passenger side bulbs without pulling the grill.

It's great design if grill was all metal. But being plastic it's very easy to crack.

Once you have the grill off, there are 4 bolts on each headlight (one on top, two on the inside edge and one underneath) and a spring clip. You just remove the bolts, then pull it straight forward to pop the spring clip loose. Don't over tighten the bolts when reinstalling otherwise you can strip them out.
