1997 f-350 460 Gas

Wondering about removing the cat on this thing...any ideas? Do I have to reset the module??

Why would you bother? Unless it is bad, it is not hurting anything.

If your engine is not built, it will not significantaly limit the performance of the engine. Especially if the rest of the exhaust is stock, as othe parts are a much greater restriction.

If your set on it, then no, you do not have to tune te engine to run without it. Unless you have a MAF equiped truck which does have a downstream O2 to check the operation of the cat.

Brian is correct.

I removed mine only because I put the whole banks powerpack kit in mine. It saved me lots of headaches by not reinstalling it.

Without any other mods, and unless yours is plugged, you will not benefit from removing it.
