Tilt or no tilt?!!

I have a 1991 F150 4×4 lariat. My steering column is a bit sloppy. The bearings are shot. I purchased another column from a yard and decided to rebuild it myself then swap them out. The new column has no handle for tilt, but it has all the internals for it. A spring and a bar that when pressed allows for tilting of the wheel. Is this a simple modification that can done? Or what? My cocolumn doesn't look like tge exploded view of parts tgat I've found on the web....?!!!

If you post a photo of the columns left side (opposite the ignition lock) with shroud removed it would make this easier.

My guess is you simply need the control lever which screws into the tilt release mechanism.

I have since gone to my ford dealership. They told me that the turn signal lever is also the tilt lever. I feel a bit stupid. But am happy that I found it. I appreciate your response. Thanks.

Glad you found the solution!

Tilt wheel is a nice feature for sure!
