Compass- ambient temp

I have a 2010 Edge and it has no compass or outside temp. I think there was an option to have a digital display under the odometer. It has a rear view mirrow with SYNC to tie into you cell phone, etc. Im trying to figure out how to add a compass and ambient temp. Get an old mirror from an older Edge and eliminate my SYNC, or can i get a module and install into the instrument cluster to get the factory display to work, or is it already there and just needs turned on ??? Any ideas ?

Well i gave up on trying to get the display under the odometer wired up. Too many unknowns. I bought a new mirror with a dual temp- compass display off e-bay for $50. Came with the temp sensor and wire harness out of the mirror. Wire that to the dome light and two new wires to the front bumper area for the temp sensor. About 3 hours to complete everything. Biggest problem is getting the old mirror off ! No more SYNC, but didnt plan on ever using it anyway.
