I have a 2008 Escape and driver side fog lamp went out. Had to go to ford for replacement bulb $26-$30. Could not find at auto parts retailers. But can find other replacement bulbs at retailers.....is this replacement bulb for the fog lights a TOP SECRET. I have found a number 5202 for the fog lights but no one knows a Dxx thing about it.

I don't have a better answer. The replacement bulb is a H16 and/or 5202 (available via either part number). However, if you search Amazon for either 5202 or H16, that's what comes up. Give it a try, Amazon has an awesome return policy (they'll pay return shipping if it's wrong).

I don't understand why no one is really making a good, cheap replacement, but that's just what it is...

FYI, it's the same bulb that fits Chevy Tahoe and Acadia fog lights.
