1987 ford f250 ignition
I got a 1987 ford f250 diesel i was starting it to move it to plow snow and it started then died like it normally dose then i turned it over and then stoped it turned the key back to lock to cycle glow plugs again and i turned it to on position and no power but power when u turn it to start position i got a new ignition relay on steering coulmn and i have it adjusted so it hits the start position but still the same problem no power till key is on start position so can anyone help me???

I'm not sure about the diesel, but the gasoline powered trucks have a weird shaped pot metal piece inside the steering column that connects the key tumbler to the ignition switch. These are very prone to breaking on the gasoline models. If you had a gasoline powered truck, I would say that was definitely you problem. Hopefully someone who is familiar with the diesels will chime in soon.
