I had to get fuel the other morning I was running real low on fuel, I stopped at a fuel station and their #2 diesel pumps were all down but had pure #1

I put 50.00 in and drove home...I noticed a loss of power and mpg's

Did I hurt anything by running pure #1 diesel in my 6.0L??

 

i don't know the 6.0 as well as the older diesels, but you would be wise to top off with #2 every time you get a chance, so you dillute the #1 with the #2.
i know the older diesels really didn't care what you ran through them, but the newer ones aren't quite so open-minded

 

You'll be just fine, #1 has a few less BTU's then #2, which is why your down on power.

Hundreds and Hundreds of diesel in the north land run #1 fuel and where all running just fine.....

I topped off when I got home but owning a 6.0L sometimes makes me a hypochondriac if ya know what I mean.

 

Agreed, running #1 is only bad for your wallet ie it just costs more and gives less MPG.
