1967 F100 4BT cummins daily driver build

Sorry I'm a bit late to the dance..
Great work. I'm impressed with the amount of fabrication and detail in you front end work. Having an original style power steering set up I envy your rack and pinion.
I did (am still building even though I've been driving it for over a year) 6BT swap in my 69 camper special.
If you are using the ford rear end make sure your that the final drive ratio in the trans along with you rear dif ratio and tire size don't leave your engine spinning too fast to cruse on the highway comfortably. I had to change the gears in my Dana 60 rear to the smallest set made (3.54 iirc) and still used a 33" dia tire to get my ratios where I wanted them. I have an NV4500 5spd in my truck and now at 65mph in 5th my engine is spinning at about 2.2k rpm.

From what the tranny shop told me; I should be around 1800 rpm at 70mph. That is with a 3.25 gear and a 31.5 tall tire.

I just brought the truck back into my shop to start doing the suspension. I plan on starting a thread here for that and I'll include some background pics too.

Thanks for the compliment!
Thank you, It was cheaper than paint and actually acts as a sound deadener which this truck will need.

You must be smiling a lot amigo. Your build is way up on the perfect scale, and as close to perfection as a mortal man can expect. Friends are just back from Cuba, and showed us photos of 'Factory Perfect' cars & pickups from the 50's & 60's. Your work would make some of them envious.

^^^X2...Awesome build, very inspiring! I love white on these trucks, makes them look so classy and the body lines so crisp and clean, of course your talent with body work had alot to do with the clean body lines as well!
I just went back through trying to find some info on the wheels you have, sorry if I missed it, but if you don't mind can you post the size again and where you got them...thanks!
