power loss

i was driving down the road and i started to slow down for a red light and i i felt like my engine was kinda dieing i look down and the check engine lights on and my rpms are really low, so i pulled over and stoped for a min and then my check engine light went out and the motor started runing fine again. it never died. so im thinking it is the cam position sensor.

if you got a CEL, that means it has a code for sure.

check codes and that should let you know.

He thinks map sensor is not adding fuel in relationship to boost level.the map is responsible for letting the pcm know if boost is present.therefore increasing inj pulse.
When you unhook it,the pcm assumes full boost so it fuels max.if it runs correctly then you may need a new map sensor.also check the vaccum hose from intake to sensor for being bad or clogged.

Yep. Your symptoms are relevant to a MAP failure. =)
