I'm leaving Superstition Mountain out in the desert south of the Salton Sea and my truck throws a CEL. NICE! I didn't notice any performance difference and kept on driving home. Just a little stressful especially given the fact I've got my 30 foot toy hauler in tow. I unload and take it to the dealer. He said it threw a P0401 code. Something to do with the EGR system. They will have my truck tonight and hopefully fix it tomorrow. The truck has 30,000 miles.

 

P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Insufficient Detected

I need to get back out there, and out to Ocotillo - been too long.

 

It was AWESOME! There was hardly anybody there. We rode anywhere we wanted without any 'traffic' what so ever. We are going out for Thanksgiving, let me know and maybe we can hook up.

 

I'm going to be visiting down there for 10 days on Nov 21st. Will make a trip up to Rosevelt Dam and around. Getting out of the Canadian cold for a few rounds of golf, visiting my mother in Mesa.

got my truck back and it seems the same just minus the CEL. Here's what they did. This is what the paperwork states.

1.Correction/Action Take
INSTALLED NEW EGR VALVE, RETESTED, PASSED, ROAD TESTED 20 MILES TO VERIFY REPAIR, PASSED. M-OUT 30,007
