Explorer Advance Trac Problem Help!
My battery died and now my AdvanceTrac turns off when I start my 2005 Explorer. I'm concerned with going to the dealer to reset. I don't want them to charge me out the you know what. Does anyone know how to reset the advance trac or how much Ford Dealerships charge to reset if resetting is all that's needed. Help!

A well-equipped independent shop may be able to at least pull the diagnostic codes for the AdvanceTrac system and may even be able to attempt the recalibration if that is what is needed. An independent shop will likely be less expensive than the dealer, at least for the scan and code reset.
My Autel DS708 has the capability to initialize and calibrate the AdvanceTrac module and I've tried it out on my 2004 Aviator. If you find a shop in your area with the DS you can be reasonably confident they'll be able to figure out what is causing the light.
