Radiator Help
I have seen where some of you guys have put a dodge aluminun radiator in your F1's with a Chev engine and done it a a very low cost. Does anyone know if there is a similiar aluminiun radiator for a small block Ford? The inlet and outlet would have to be reversed to work with A Ford. Everything that I have found so far has been the $400 and up range.

Try this link on ebay:
1948 1952 Truck Aluminum Radiator | eBay
Offer $250 & you'll have an aluminum radiator f0r $300 shipped. It will fit into the stock mount perfectly and they'll put the inlet and outlet on whatever side you need them to be on.
It'd look like this:

Mine has been working out really well. I put in a single 1100 cfm fan and that's all it takes to keep things at 180 degrees at a stop light. The fan kicks off after I get moving. I tried it out for the first time on a 105 degree day & the engine temp stays right at 180.
I have a very similar radiator in a 66 mustang with a 302. It has two really wide cores, which seems to cool like a 4 core brass radiator. The mustang used to like to heat up at stoplights....problem solved with the aluminum radiator.

I have a 351w in my 52 so it is set up for a small block Ford. They will make it with whatever configuration you need. They will make one for you with the sbc arrangement. Actually, he the first one he shipped me was accidentally swapped with some other guy's order, so I received a radiator with the outlets set up for the sbc. They emailed me a UPS shipper for the return & I had the correct one a couple of days later.
Mine is set up with a very basic 1100 cfm electric fan. The fan does kick on at a long stop light, but goes off as soon as I start moving. That radiator keeps my engine at 185 even on 100+ degree days. My son and I put a similar two row (1" wide rows though) in his 66 Mustang. That one also keeps cool. The Mustang has been working well for 6 years now. I've been driving the 52 for 2 years...no problems yet.
I have recommended Superior to a few of the guys on the forum now. I think they make a good product....and it is made in the US for nearly the same price that you'd pay for an imported unit.
