well i practiced enough ,on my new machine (well 50 year old Singer thats new to me).... took a day off work and put in about 4 hours sewing and got the bottom finished (99%).
the bottom looks much better than the top, quality of stitches etc....
i've still got a few details inside cab to finish up, paint the plastic seat pieces, paint transmission tunnel cover...
thanks for all the comments, the stitching looks less professional than i'd like in person, but ok for me.

Hey Gregg,
I've been looking at you doing those paisley seats. It's like one of those home decorating shows - that'll never work, it looks strange, how odd, ... It comes time for the reveal & it looks great. Nice job!
Was the truck always a 4x4 or did I miss that conversion part?
Looking good over there!

No it's wasn't 4 wheel drive, I always like the "marmon herrington" conversion done when these truck were new so i kind of tried to make it look similiar using 80's/90's parts.
here's old thread from when i started the build 5 year ago...

i've gotten pretty far off the thread title, but here's the finished tunnel cover.
it's sprayed with this do-it-yourself UPOL (tintable)bed liner, i sprayed the running boards with the same color. i've never used before, but am very inpressed with it, the fact that you can tint to any color is pretty cool.
i'm about ready to put the MPV seat in next day off...........
