Bought a 03 6.0 with blown head gasket and weak on power help
Just got a good deal on a 03 F250 4x4 AT with 136,000 miles. Truck just had $6500 in work including 2 new heads, bolts and gaskets, egr delete, new oil cooler, new glow plugs, 4 new injectors, new pulleys and belt, and new alternator. After less than 500 miles it blew a head gasket again, its pushing coolant out the degas bottle. No major repairs in the previous 20000 miles. No tuner, rest stock. So studs and gaskets are on order. What I am concerned about is that the truck starts harder than normal and has a noticeable miss and lack power, lots of white smoke. It hardly has enough power to move it into the shop. I tested the FICM and it has 48 volts starting cranking and running. Questioning if the Turbo is stuck or not boosting with the lack of any power or if it stuck in a high boost and took out the head gasket both times. I am hoping I dont have a high pressure oil pump weak or sticking injectors. Any thoughts? Tearing into it this weekend with cab on.

EGR cooler is gone with an aftermarket blue bypass kit installed. I can confirm it it was OEM head gasket or not. They bought the heads and gaskets from IH I was told. It the degas tank has lots of pressure and there is a cloud that surrounds the truck with white smoke. I don't smell fuel at this time but I can rule it out. There is a bit moisture/ coolant on the oil dip stick as well. Starts hard, stalls once or twice when starting. Runs rough, shakes with maybe 10-20% power. If you baby it it might get a little better. Is a cloud of smoke solid out the tail pipe. No engine light but I will scan with a genesis tonight. Its gota be a head gasket+, Maybe turbo vanes suck, injector leaking/suck? Or could it be a bad FICM but no show on the power side?
