Decided I better actually get a truck for the winter, this one caught my eye at $700.

4" lift - 35" - tires - 351m/400 - 4spd

needs ring gear/starter and brakes, but that's it.

loading mishap that took out two 2x6s. truck is heavy (had to put smaller tires on to load): <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a204/KBrian/parts%20and%2089/7CD517D5-E9E5-49A3-945E-75CF94707684-13515-000004B282C968A8.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Well, getting some progress. Here's a few pix of before I started working on it and some current ones. She's cleaning up pretty nicely. I've started working on a spare set of fenders/doors, going to go with a blue/white two tone in place of whats there now. Should be pretty good looking by winter.

oh it's drivable now, I put a new clutch, ring gear, starter and dist in her then got the exhaust fixed. Now it's my DD and I'll work on the fenders/doors till they are ready to go on then paint the cab/hood. Still want to have the frame sanblasted, but winter is getting here quick.

more progress. I'll have her done this afternoon.

Not too shabby for about $30 worth of rattle cans. :P I don't want her to be a show truck, but I want to be proud driving down the road.

Got these ready to go on as soon as I get the frame cleaned up.

*How much resale value do you think I've added to my $700 truck with just a few days of elbow grease and stuff from around the garage? I'm thinking in the spring I shouldn't have too much trouble getting $3000ish

Well, got her 95% done. Still need some white on the roof, some finishing cleanup and swap the rusty wheels for my white ones. Hopefully tomorrow if the weather holds out.

Looking good man, just out of curiosity, did you spray any clear coat? You can by a clear coat in a rattle can at autozone. If you spray a clear coat, it should look pretty good and the paint should last a pretty long time. I also rattle canned my 79 (until I get the time and money to do a full pain job)

Didn't clear it yet. Figure ill wait till I can leave the truck alone for a couple days. I'm not worried about it, if I have to redo it later so be it. At least it's not rusty anymore.

didn't know anything about a meet. I'm def up for one, maybe by spring my Scab will be done. lol

Drove her to town earlier and got all kinds of looks from other drivers on the road and at the gas station. It's nice having an attention getter again.
