bouncy steering

I put a 6 inch lift on my X about a month ago. Like the lift but I am not liking the way the steering is acting. When you hit a bump the steering wheel turns from side to side. I have replaced the factory stabilizer and it still is bouncy, although I never drove it with the factory stabilizer after the lift. Could the new stabilizer be the problem, it seems to not have as much travel as the old one? I was wondering if anyone has had this problem.

The problem is the steering geometry is way off after the lift. The main problem is that when the suspension cycles it changes the distance from the steering arm to the knuckle. This causes the rod between the two to cause your wheel to turn back and forth. This is called "bump steer". the only real way to fit this is to put a kit that relocates the tie rod in a more parallel position. One thing you might want to check is that the tie rod and cross bar are parallel. if they are not this will cause the same affect. Also you might make sure that this cross bar is tight on each side.
