Front emblem

I noticed my front grill emblem, the bog blue oval, has had some water seep inside of it and it is cloudy over about 50%. OK, no big deal, time to replace it.

Rather than just another FORD oval, what fun stuff have other owners used? I have found an IH oval, but I have a 5.4L V-8, so that won't work.

Has anyone found anything else, or even made one?

If your emblem is metal, you can boil it and peel the blue off. This leaves a chrome emblem behind that shines up very nicely

Haven't tried on this truck yet. Hopefully these are the metal ones and not all plastic

I could try. I mean, it's already fubar. I can't mess it up any worse.

I've been looking at old IH metal logo's. They are about 4 x 4 and would look good on my bumper grill.

If I were Ford, I would replace the emblems for free. Its only their trade mark that looks like ****. Mine is crappy looking too.

I see this all the time. Maybe its just me but I think its UN-FRICKEN BELIEVABLE!!!!! I cant be the only one that finds it completely insane that Ford would allow this to happen?? I mean emblem is adorned to the front of every truck they sell. Its the first thing everyone sees. Its basically their name badge and they couldn't build a simple, NON FUNCTIONING, cosmetic piece to survive more than a few years.

How much confidence does that inspire??? (sarcasm)

If I hadnt been a Ford guy all my life and have known that Fords were the best, and longest lasting truck, I would look at that faded emblem on an almost new truck and be like pffffft they cant even build their own Ford Emblem to last, I highly doubt the truck will be built to last.

That Emblem is basically their business card that they hand out to everyone....And its falling apart. That would be like getting a business card from an English tutor and the card have spelling and punctuation mistakes.

Sorry about the rant but this has always boggled my mind

I paid $36 at the dealer for a replacement. The box said "Made in Italy". Draw your own conclusions.

you're right on....the badges should last a long time...all the badging is junk...I hope the rest of the truck holds up better than badging
