Okay buddy of mine told me if I pulled my valve covers off and cleaning the sludge out of my heads I would get better performance, I told him he was smokin crack lol 96 f150 5.0, what do y'all think?
There shouldn't be any sludge in your heads, if there is put seafoam through it and change the oil a few times.
The drivers side valve cover comes off relatively easy after removing the bracket with the coil and solenoids, but the upper intake has to come off to remove the passenger side.
Depends on how fast you work. Entire upper intake plenum and throttle body have to come off. Think you can remove it, the covers, paint and reassemble in a day?
