Looking for a nice Ohio campgroud.

We are thinking of maybe going to Cedar Point in Sandusky next year.
Can anyone suggest a good family campground in the area ?
Thanks

Yes they do and its not as "pricey" as you might think. Its really not much of a campground per say but you aren't going there to camp- you are going to enjoy some serious coaster rides!

X2 on the RV park at Cedar Point. We stayed there once a couple years ago. You can walk to the gate or take the shuttle, you get in early and I believe you can stay late, and you don't have to worry about setting up a meeting place inside the park.

The cabins ain't bad there either..... Don't stay at the closest park OUTSIDE the gate - if it's still there.... way to crowded and small spots. Just take our word for it....inside the park is the best bet!

Plus staying inside the park you don't have the parking fees to pay!

I stayed at the Hershey campground last year and it was great to park the truck for a few days.
The shuttle bus ran about every 15min.

As a regular visitor to Cedar Point I would for sure recommend get a camp spot at the park. I have not myself camped there however. We usually just go up for the day, but sometimes stay at the hotels. Like the hotels you get early access to the park, it's supper convenient to be able to walk back and to eat, rest or wait out the rain.
