MAF sensor

How is the best and safest way for me to clean my MAF sensor in my 99 V10

Assuming that yours is the same as mine (2003 F-350) , it is located just behind the air-filter in the housing.

1- You can unplug and remove the entire sensor (torx screws ) and spray CRC brand(?) MAF cleaner , let it air-dry and reassemble .

2- Short-cut : While MAF sensor is in place , just remove the air filter and the clamp of the air hose leading to throttle . Now you can spray it from both direction .

Remember :a- Remove (-)battery cable , just in case nothing is shorted,
b-Do not touch the wire with anything
c-Do not use anything but an MAF cleaner,
