What did you do to the Bronco Today?
#3151
OK.....2nd trans in! Thank you Ford! No thanks to the local dealer!
New fuel pump, hanger and level installed! Thanks Bronco Graveyard!
A/C charged up (no leaks) and chilling!
Ive got a slight hesitation/miss just off idle. I thought it was the TPS because the wires looked lij they had been chewed on. I cleaned the throttle body and the AIC motor. Throttle body was nasty!
Still have the problem. No codes.
Any ideas?? EGR need cleaning too???
Anyway......Bronco is back on the road!!

I'd also pop off the distributor cap and check the contacts and rotor. If they are worn out either clean em or replace em. Then maybe get a timing light and make sure the timing is still good?
Did you test the TPS at all or no?

Probably wouldn't hurt to check the EGR, although I don't know much about them. I don't have the experience and joys of dealing with one.

I'll test the EGR tomorrow at the shop. Just has an annoying miss hesitation just off idle while cruising or sitting.

I spent 3 hours today stripping parts off my parts Bronco. I got the dash wiring harness out, the dash out, all the heater ducting and heater box (since it's a non A/C rig), NP 205 torque mount off the frame, steering gearbox, rear half of the wiring, rear interior panel supports, and the rear arm rests. Still need to pull the core support, tailgate hardware (tailgate is shot and the internals were already gone), rear step bumper, and firewall. I may also pull some roof and floor metal for future patches on my Bronco. I know that I don't need all the parts I'm pulling, so once my Bronco is done I'll be selling what I don't need.

Cleaned the carbon off the EGR pintle. (Very nasty!) Going to eventually pull the intake and give it a good cleaning. Cleaning the EGR took care of my off idle miss and hesitation!
Got a new fan clutch. Driving it the other day and noticed the temp was gradually increasing while sitting. (More than I liked) Flushed the radiator the other day also. I topped off the coolant when I got it going.....I guess all that nasty corrosion from sitting all that time broke loose once I started driving it.

New serpentine belt on. Re-checked some of the vacuum lines I replaced. Found the lines going to the vacuum canister were reversed! Running pretty good! Curious why it wasn't setting any codes.
Hopefully, I can get the windows tinted next weekend.
Still have to order the seat covers from Marathon. Too expensive to redo the leather! Going to do the Kryptek Typhon pattern. Trying to find headliner material in that same pattern. (I think it will look good.)
