So yesterday driving I heard a weird noise and hmm
Shifted to third and revved up no movement and in 4th the same I currently have a rare 5 speed only 1,2,5 work !
Yes she has clean fluid yes she is full. What the he'll happened lol
95 OBS reg cab LB /2wD 5.0 5 speed
What's the transmission in this so I can look at new and or rebuilt. Is it the Mazda mr25 or whatever the he'll that is ?
Any one else had a similar issue ? Man am I pissed I had just saved the money for long tube headers !
Dammit !

you don't even need to pull the trans if you want to fix it.pull back the mat,and take the plate off the trans tunnel hump and you can remove the top of the trans where the issue is right there.it's a PITA getting the folks in/out,but it's not "hard" work.it's just kinda slow tedious work getting the things to line up and go in right.
it's not too costly or too hard of a job or anything.just didn't last anyway when i replaced it.
probably because i didn't research it.if you do,you may find another things or two that your suppose to fix at the same time i dunno.
it's not a difficult or costly job.any shade tree can figure it out.....probably.
pop the top cover and have a peek.see if it's something you can handle.most likely is.heck, might even be a write up of it on here someplace.
