This is prolly a 1 page thread at most
Evening all.
Now, I have a question. What do you guys recommend as far as an adjustable reciever hitch. I plan in the future to lift the truck, no more than a 4" lift though, so would a 6" drop (max) be enough? I'm leaning towards an Andersen rapid hitch, but really have no experience with any adjustable hitch.
The Andersen Rapid Hitch 6" will be perfect. I have owned all of the nice adjustable hutches out there (DT, Andersen etc) and prefer the Andersen over the DT for a few good reasons.
-DT with built in locks can be stolen without a key. Not going into specifics as I don't want to help thieves but info is out there.
-DT cannot replace a worn out ball over life or change a ball without changing the entire adjustable billet unit.
-The Andersen you can swap ***** with ease. I have the greaseless version and love it.
I bought my Andersen from a place on eBay and it came with the dual lock pins for a fair price.
Dak, I'm getting better mileage with my 15 F350 than I was getting with my 2011 F250 (yes, before mods). Hope yours improves.

The window sticker was a Big help.....the Limited slip 3.73 rear end.....The best priced dealer (so far) said it did not show on his ordering software. Now I have proof.
Altitude... I doubt it. I live at 600'. I would hope that isn't enough to make this much of a difference. Remember I am drove the 2011 to the current place I am staying at and to the same places as the 2015...
Could be that the places around here weren't running as winter a blend as they are now?
And I also drove the speed limit for a long stretch to see if it was any different too. And it was. Same long stretch I did in the 2011 only I drove slower... I hope it picks up too and my guess is that it will a little bit.

Might not have that wide track front end though.

I'm not sure how many you have, but I can relate. I tow our fiver (B&W Companion), deck-over enclosed trailer for the four wheelers, flatbed for tractor, large, medium and small Boy Scout enclosed trailer, plus the randoms you don't keep track of. I have 5 different receivers to keep track of because none of them sit at the same height or if by chance they do, different ball sizes. For example, the large and medium Scout trailers are the same height, but the large is 2 5/16 and the medium is 2". It's a PITA, but it's safe and works

Roy it looks like you already decided during the course of my catching up with the conversation, but you definitely don't want the 4.30! I haven't seen much data on the 15s, but pre-15 duallies seem to be getting 1 to 1.5 mpg better than me towing comparable trailers. I think the 3.73 puts the 6th gear rpm in a better spot for 65 mph towing than the 3.55 does. I really thought the dually would do worse than my SRW but everybody seems to report the opposite. Of course you will sacrifice a little bit when you are not towing, but that is the price you pay to run with the big dogs!
