The 1/2 (and 3/4 tons up to late 50 or early 51) had single speed transfer cases. They also sported Dana axles as opposed to the Timkens on the 3/4 tons.

This truck is awfully nice, but the missing front stabilizer springs would be a question. Are just the leaves missing and easily replaced, or are the hangers themselves also missing. The pictures don't show that I can tell. These stabilizer springs were used on the LD7-4 half tons and R3-4 single speed 3/4 tons. My '50 and '51 F-3 R3-4s both have them. Stu

I have a 51 F 1 mostly original that I would like to restore into a Marmon Harrington . I don't know if any parts are available to do it or I was thinking size wise the early Bronco would get close for starters and go from there. Thoughts or comments?

I'd suggest getting to know member jpb222 who has done a great 4x4 conversion on his '51 F-1. Here's his thread describing the conversion.

To do a true M-H conversion on your truck you face the task of finding correct donor parts, specifically the front axle, single speed transfer case, and associated mounting hardware. Very rare, very expensive, and you'd be competing with guys like me who are also looking for these pieces to remedy fractured components on original trucks. Stu
