Track bar
What exactly does the track bar do. I got the leveling kit that came with an adjustable one so its on there. What I can see it brings the axle in center of the truck. Is that it? The instructions said before installing track bar, bounce on front of the truck to bring axle center under the truck. Well I did the bouncing but the axle doesnt look centered. The track bar is on and shortned as much as can be, but still looks like the axle sticks out of the passenger side more.
So questions.
What all does the track bar do?
Do they adjust it when getting an aligned?
Any other thought on how to get the axle in the center?

Im prob going to have to shave the inner parts of the bar where it threads in to get the axle centered. Looking at this and how everything works under here im confused. So these may seem like dumb questions, but thats because im used to cars.
Solid axle in front. Where the leafs hook up has a notch so it only has one place to go. The track bar looks like it moves the axle left and right to center it and thats in. Then you got the steering bar. It looks like there is no where for this to go once everything is hooked up, so where and what do they do for an alignment? Track bar if im looking right has nothing to do with it, or anyone with a leveling kit and non adjustable would be off on it.
So what are they going to adjust?

Toe is adjusted in the tie rods and the camber is adjusted with shims I believe.
Your track bar should be parallel to your drag link when adjusted properly. All the track bar does is keep the axle centered, however we have self centering springs, so you should be able to roll it forward ad back some to center things up. disconnect the track bar first of course. Even take it for a spin around the block a couple times, you won't hurt anything. Buddy of mine has been driving around with a broken track bar for months now

Ok didnt know I could drive without it. Ill do that tomorrow to get it centered, then shave off what I need to before reinstalling.
And theres the answere I was looking for on the alignment. They stated it starts at 69 dollars, then they will go in check everything and let me know if its even able to have an alignment.
