According to the currency converter 146,000.00 AUD

=

154,292.80 USD

I will stop complaining about the cost of a new Ford here in the states

Yep, that will be converted and complied.
So as a comparison, you can get a new C63 Benz for the same $$ as you can get an F150 here... just FYI

Thats a $45-50 thousand dollar truck here brand new. I would guess a lot of the mark up is the cost of making a new Dashboard and parts to relocate the steering and brakes. Man is that steep though.

That's a nice truck, "barn fresh" as they say. I always preferred the "brick nose" like that over the '92-97 style. My dad was a ford guy for a long time, all but two trucks he owned since I can remember and even a few before that were fords so I have a soft spot for them as well. He and I have a particular fondness for the "brick nose" '87-91 style with him owning at least 5 over the years along with a '94 F150, a bullnose, a '78 F250 a couple rangers, and a super duty plus my mom's '86 bronco and the 2 I've had.

A year ago I had my '74 ranchero GT totaled and when the wrecking yard came to get it the guy told me that the last time they had a ranchero in their yard a guy in Austraila bought it and had it shipped to fix it up. So if you see a blue 'chero with a crumpled hind-end and Oregon plates, tell the guy I said hi. LOL I know how you guys love the "utes".

And yes the steering wheel is on the Right hand side, as per all Aussie delivered vehicles.

Ill get some interior shots up on Monday..
I only brought it up due to personal experience bringing back old VW's from a dormant state. There always seemed to be a bit of layer of 'shellac' in the bottom of an empty tank that would desolve when fresh gas was poured into the tank, which would quickly gum up the fuel distributor and injectors ( old Bosch CIS I & II mechanical fuel injection).

Maybe you will get lucky and the fuel filter will catch all of it. I'm curious to watch your progress on this, I always like to see variants of US vehicles. I had a friend in High School that his Dad had a Aussie Rancheo, right hand drive and everything!

Wipers go the "wrong way" because the steering wheel is on the right side.

I wish I could find a set of those headlights. Those are kinda cool.

Good point, I will make sure thats all checked. Thanks for that.

And it seems the consensus on the Aussie headlights is all good! Ill keep them then, for something different

Anyway, heres a few quick snaps from this morning as I was having it loaded onto a tilt-tray, heading to the workshop. Gave it a quick hose off beforehand, to see what it was like under all the dirt...not too bad at all..

And a quick one of the interior. Sorry not a very good shot, but it was being loaded at the time;

Cheers

Looking at that last pic reminded me of the time I rented a car in Jamaica, It was also a right hand drive stick shift. About every 3rd or 4th shift I hit the window crank on the right side reaching for the shifter out of habit using my right hand. It looks really good with the muck hosed off, it should look really sharp once you really get into it

Is that not the 80-86 dash/instruments/door panels?

The hood release on the "passenger" side?

This is one of the oddest trucks I've ever seen: a 1992 f150 with an 80-86 interior with an 87-91 body with an 80-86 tailgate. Also has never before seen taillights and headlights

Ooh. Good catch on the tail lights.
Overseas vehicles usually need yellow turn signals separate from the red brake lights.
But what about the backup lights. Hmmm
