I have a 1996 Bronco with a 5.8. Whether it is 110 degrees or 20, the truck sometimes starts hard and when it starts, it stumbles/hesitates until it catches and idles. If I step on the gas as it is doing that it may catch or stall. No rhyme or reason. This is not an all the time thing. Sometimes it fires up like normal. I have read that the MAF sensor, IAC could be culprets. I have cleaned the MAF in the recent past as well as replaced the IAC (last few years) Any other options?

 

Check filters, timing, battery, sometimes its just the small stuff. It could be the fuel pump isn't priming all the time. Happens on the gfs buick on occasion
