I have a 1992 F150 XLT with a 302 and ever since I got it it's had a starting problem. It's not bad, it will always start but not the first time I try, it just cranks, then I turn the key off and try again, then it will fire right up. I'm sure it's a small problem but I lack funds right now to guess what parts it needs and buy them until it's fixed.

 

check the fuel system for any faults. Also check the IAC and O2 sensors.

 

Id get a fuel pressure gauge and check that. Sounds like the system isn't priming well. Fuel pump might be getting weak.
