Squealing Sound From Bell Housing
Hello,
I have a 2007 F-150 XLT Super Crew Cab with a 5.4L Flex fuel engine. It has about 111,250 mile on it. I know a lot for an '07. I am getting a squealing sound coming from where the motor and transmission come together underneath the truck. It sounds like a bearing going out of a pulley. I have taken it to three different shops including a transmission shop and no one can tell me what it it. The transmission shop wanted me to pay $250 just for them to take the transmission away from the motor and see if it still made the sound. I have called the local Ford dealership and talked to them on the phone and they said that they have never heard of such a problem. I am wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and if they could give some insight into what it might be making the sound. Thanks for any help and advice.
