Unhappy NEED HELP !!

Ok, (05 6.0l) I drove the truck for the first time in about a week. After about 20 miles of driving the engine just cut out for about 5 sec. when it did the glow plug light came on and went out when the engine started running again. It did it 3 time in a matter of just a couple of minutes. After the third time it did it the trans. started shifting poorly. I pulled over and sat for a minutes truck was running ok so I drove it home with no more problems and parked it. Any help would be great. P.S. no check engine light but I'm going to check for codes in just a min.

Got to have Gauges besides stock Dash Gauges they suck

A ScanGaugeII is 160.00$$ sees all the engine sensors and some trans

Kinda sounds like a Wire chaffe since it seamed to snap out of it in the end there

But would be good to have some gauges to check things when it acts up

You want the SGII
The D has a round plug and not an OBD2 type.
Have a look here
ScanGaugeD - Advanced J1939 & J1708 compatible Vehicle Monitor for Diesel Pusher Vehicles : Linear Logic
They show how each unit differs
Compare the Features of the ScanGauge products : Linear Logic

try these codes and post results do it just like this

OPERATING VALUES

Just make shure the numbers are taken exactly like this
Truck in PARK OR NEUTRAL all times during test
ECT at 190* or close to And EOT at 185* or higher
A/C OFF
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#1-------KOEO=Key On Engine Off =record value

#2-------Low Idel (truck idel on its own)=record value

#3-------High Idel (2500RPM)=record value

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

try these codes for sgII and post values

Ok here it goes
BAT 12.0, 13.4, 13.5
CVI 5, 5, 5
EBP 14.2, 17.0, 25.0
EOT 195
FLP 12.5, 13.5, 13.5
FMP 47.5, 48.0, 48.0
FPW 0, 1000, 730
FVP 12.5, 13.5, 13.5
ICP 0, 590, 1030
ICV .23, .82, 1.2
IPR 13.5, 21.7, 27.5
SYC CRANK POSITION 0
SYC CRANK TO CAM 1
VGT __, 66, 47

I went on a 50 mi. drive before doing this test. The test drive went well and all the readings looked good to me. I think you might be on the right track with it being a shorted wire.

When you did the High Idel Part of the Testing you held the truck at 2500RPM????

The ones in red are LOW Values for 2500RPM also in Park/Nuetral

these numbers below are FORD Values and are in the same order you listed
KOEO
Low Idel
High Idel
Sensor Range is the last 2 numbers

But the first 3 numbers are what you want

ICP 0.2 1.0 1.8 0.15 - 4.7 VOLT Injection Control Pressure
ICP_DES 0 625.5 1400 - 1450 0 - 4045 PRESSURE (PSI) ICP Desired
IPR # 14.84 24 40.60 0 - 50 PERCENT Injection Pressure Regulator

The numbers in post above in red are Off from Fords Values here

ICP was about 400 PSI off at high Idel
IPR% was 13% off at High Idel

Looking at the numbers it DONT look like a HPO Leak and IDK why your High Idel numbers just seam Low

2500rpm was in Park too right

Just got to make shure

I would expect IPR% to be diffrent if there was a Leak or Pump issue
