Paint cost on ext cab?

btw maaco just ran a commercial here, its their "summer special," $299 for single stage enamel paint job.
Honestly my truck is a beater, but when I get a new door and fix the floors and cab corner, I'm probably gonna strip and mask everything myself and rough sand it, either take it to my gf's brother, or to some place like maaco, and just have them give it a quick spray of enamel. I'm not looking for a perfect shine. Just everything one color.

All the time, unfortunately! Now that I have the dent I've always wanted, as I restore it I'm squirreling away $100 a pay period for a '67-68 Mustang project.

In my neck of the woods they just passed a new law, and the scrap yards won't take any HVAC units or coils unless you have an HVAC license. But, they will turn you in to the authorities, and then you'll have to explain how you didn't steal the unit for scrap money.

In a way I can see their point. We are getting a lot of a/c unit, copper, wire, etc. theft going on. Thieves are stealing from vacant houses, occupied houses, businesses, and even power stations, among other places. They are turning the stuff in for scrap, for pennies on the dollar. My neighbor woke up hot in the middle of the night, only to find out the next morning that his a/c unit was gone, and so was the one in the house next to him.

I feel the same way. I'm in the HVAC business, and I was just telling someone about this guy that owns some rental trailer parks. When he has someone change out the old units, he was scrapping them himself. After all, they are his. Now, he can't do it anymore. I feel there ought to be a way for someone to scrap stuff that is actually theirs.
