temp sensor on right side of 300 I6

Hi

I have tried to remove the temp sensor on my engine without success. (300 I6)

it's located toward the end of the engine above the starter. I have chewed the #$#$^@%@# out of the brass head.

1) any good idea on how to remove it. (my next step is to try to weld an old socket to it)
2) is there any other place i can put one. (just leave the old one behind)

Is it chewed up to the point that a socket will no longer grab it?

Whatever you end up doing, soak the threads in PB blaster over the next few days before trying the next step.

socket, wise grip, and pipe wrench.

The @#$^#$ is now all chew up and wont budge.
