And one other thing. Can the interior (dash, instrament cluster, etc.) from a 92-96 be swaped into a 87-91 F-series?

I'm not sure it can be done and I do know it will be alot of work. There is more electronics in the newer interiors, and it might not be worth the work and the expense. The door panels will NOT work on pre-92 doors.

Also, the interior panels that mount behind the door where the seat belt comes up, will not fit either! Trust me, learned the hard way. Ford moved the seatbelt mounting location 1 inch higher in the 92-96 pickups.

i have done this conversion on an 85 bronco, used 95 f-150 parts. this is not a simple conversion . the new dash mounts differently, to a large aluminum bracket that is mounted under the dash. it can be done but welding and cutting skills are a must. i plan on using the complete 95 wiring harness front to rear and installing the late model fuel injection system on the 5.0 engine i have

yes it can but youll have to do some remodeling on the stearingwheel mounting bracket.youll need a bracket from a 95 (if thats what your putting in )grind of the bracket from the cab your putting it in and mount the 95 bracket in the same spot. now you need the bracket from the e brake because that helps hold the stearing wheel.mount the dash in whith the screws at the windsheld(on top) mark where your bracket shold go and so forth.i put a 93 front end and dash in my 89 crewcab,it took me a day to do it but it is posible.ps get a very patent person to help you because your going to have to take the dash in and out a couple of times . good luck
