I pulled the trailer and Buick in the picture below 700 miles from TN to FL without any issues
The u-haul trailer had a built in brake in the tongue of the trailer.
It pulled beautifully, even though the trailer says 'max 55' I did a little more than that. Averaged 60-65 probably.
It was an effortless trip.

You will be just fine, i tow my rock buggy (9700 with trailer) with my 07 and have no issues. I do have E rated tires as well as weight distributing hitch and of course trailer brakes. also take your time, dont keep engine at red line a long time and avoid excessive transmission shifts by manually shifting when you are going up or down large hills

The '07 HD Tow package has a larger than stock transmission radiator. Looks the same size as the standard one but is thicker (or something). Part numbers are definitely different. Unaware the '08s come standard with the HD transmission radiator. Can't tell by just looking unless you read the part sticker.
No mechanical changes with HD Tow, just better engine and transmission cooling. Standard Ford parts if you want to upgrade. Labor is probably the big cost.
Only other change in HD Tow is the full wiring with the connection for electric brakes. The "blue brake wire" should be there at the back of the truck (blunt cut, dipped and taped) even with the standard tow package and there's a kit to fit the round 7-pole electrical connector. The electric brake connector is under the dash behind the CAN connector.
The receiver "may" be upgraded with HD tow, the documentation is silent. Class 4 with HD tow.
