2006 f250 6.0 turbo help

hey guys i need your help. my 06 6.0 has no turbo at all.
nothing on the gauge
nothing on KOER just a p2263
Checked map it is fine
checked Ebp ... cleaned it
my vgt has been replaced
checked the wire running into the vgt ... it has no voltage at all!
looked for chaffing/cuts in wire and nothing... traced back to FICM everything looks fine..
FICM is showing 48 volts
HPOP is fine getting 1800 on crank no starting issues anyways just no turbo
is there a relay / fuse that i am missing??? some other sensor??? no other codes showing up
i am lost please help!!

How is your air filter? How about the monolith inside the cat (if it's still there)? Have you tried driving it with the downpipe disconnected? Do you build ANY boost? You say you replaced the VGT, I assume you mean a new one from Ford?

Air filter is good
If u r asking me is the catalytic converter collapsed.,. No I dont think so. No weird noise on it at all if I tap on it. I finally got voltage, 12v on crank to the wire running to VGT, after pulling all tape and hose off of that wire... Seems to have a short somewhere... But still no turbo, even with the 12v to the wire. The VGT is off of my other 6.0 that is working but no boost on this new 06. Just disconnected the down pipe to pull the turbo off to check for stick vanes since I have power to the VGT now... Couldn't think of any other thing
To do other than the vanes... Any other suggestions???

What I meant was to drive it with the downpipe disconnected to see if you get boost. Will the engine rev to 3800 RPMs in PARK or NEUTRAL? If so, and you have no intake or exhaust leaks, and your BARO, MAP and EBP sensors are all functioning, NOW is the time to remove and disassemble the turbo to determine the cause of your issue and repair as necessary.

thanks for getting back to me... already have the turbo off did that last night.
also finally got my 12v to the wire running into the vgt.. took off all the hose and tape all the way down to the 1st cluster and tested again.... 12volts was there so obviously have a short somewhere... who knows where though...
tried the truck again still no turbo ... so thats when i pulled the turbo off....
thinking this turbo hasn't moved in a long time!! shouldn't i see at least some wear on these arms from movement???
i know my oil is getting to the vgt... removed it and reved her up and oil came out.....

Well for starters, that unison ring is garbage by the looks of things. Without actually being there and seeing this thing run, it's hard to say what it really needs. When you separated the housing, how badly was the unison ring stuck to it? Does it even build ANY MGP at all? ASSUMING (and you know what happens when we "assume") everything else had checked out good as you've described, I wouldn't be hard pressed to believe that either a complete turbo, or center rotating housing assembly and unison ring won't repair your issue.

it was stuck pretty bad! nothing was moving at all! i have spent the day cleaning her, and after 2 broke nail, i have this ....<a href="http://s979.photobucket.com/albums/ae278/lyssamae76/?action=view&amp;current=2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/ae278/lyssamae76/2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="http://s979.photobucket.com/albums/ae278/lyssamae76/?action=view&amp;current=1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/ae278/lyssamae76/1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
think i am going to clean under those arms again... not all of them are moving really smoothly like most of them are...
what do you mean by MGP??
truck runs great... other than my boost... hell it even drives better than my 03 6.0
you know the clip that the unison ring sits on..... sorry don't know all these terms... but when i rotate my unison ring should i be able to turn it back on my own or would a vacuum from the turbo cause that movement.... hope i am making sense!

the turbo is working great!!!! cleaned those arms one more time and replaced the hose that goes into the turbo... that blue one... (once i took the clamps off of it i found tiny tears and holes throughout) after that my boost was back!!! thanks to all the good advice that i have found on this site..and to a couple of good guys i know... i was able to get this thing done without a visit to the dealership to pay thousands of dollars!!! I have always done the work on my 4 wheelers and dirt bikes but this was def a new arena for me!

thanks again everyone who had some helpful input!!

Good job, glad you were able to diagnose and repair the turbo which is labor intensive. Now you can show someone else how to do it.

Kudos! reps set.
