turbo?

I have 06 f-250 6.0 112000 miles,check engine lite on,dealer said turbo not boosting properly,1900.00 to fix turbo,is this right,truck seems to spool up and boost fine,any ideas?

if its the turbo buy one from xdp for 1200 and replace it your self its not hard to do maybe an hour at most

why dont you clean it first and see if that fixes your problem.great write-up on how to do it in the tech folder.that is,of course,nothing's gone through it and ruined it.

My vote would be try to recondition it first.(cleaning) Do you know what the codes were?
