I wasn't saying they weren't called 80hp injectors, it's just that most places that sell them rated like that do not have a good reputation. Also depending on what was done to the injectors, the banks canned tunes may not be playing well with them.

Did you do a BUZZ test? If so how did the injector's sound?

From what i could find out the work on the injectors was done by the now out of buisness Diesel Dynamics. So short of pulling the injectors and sending them to be flow tested i am only guessing at this point. I have not done a buzz test yet. Before i do what is the proper sequence to start this on the AE? Is there a buzz test cell that i click on?

#3 and #8 probably showed balance fault correct? That's normal.

Ok, got the pigtails on both sides of the valve covers and still get the same codes as before. I guess i am taking the VC`s off. What i did find was , when i opensd up the wiring harness to splice in the pigtails i found this bare silver wire taped over but going nowhere. I did not want to open the whole harness to trace it back. Does anybody now what this wire might be for? Roy

That is a shield for the injector wires. By wrapping the bare wire around the other wires it keeps the RF low. IIRC the bare wire is grounded at the other end. Since the connector end doesn't have a seperate ground, they just wrap it in the harness and leave it un-terminated.

Okay, pulled the IDM and ohmed the injector harness for that point. All the injectors were 3.2 except #6-4.6 and #8-3.4. What would cause these readings? Roy
