Hey FTE this is a great forum so I was hoping someone could help me.

Truck only runs in start position and loses power in between run and start on the ignition switch. Found a bad fusible link and replaced the ignition switch. If I knew what each wire on the ignition switch was used for I could probably trace it easily but cant find anything yet.

I dont think it's the ignition switch, but further down the steering column there's a little box (I think it's called an ignition actuator or something, it's been a little over two months since I fixed mine), that has a small bar on top of the steering column which is v,ery hard to see that goes into it. But that little box is half plastic and half metal with a bunch of links inside, and mine was starting to seperate, so I took it out, pressed it all the way together, tossed a ziptie around it ( (in a way so it wont interfere or cut the connecting wires), hooked it back up, and installed it. Runs like champ. Mine would start just fine, and would die once I let go of the key and it returned to the "run" position, you could also keep it running by holding it right in between "start" and "run", just make sure you dont have the starter still going if you"re diagnosing it that way. I had no problem. Have a nice day!!! Sorry that's my only input on the situation.

That box is the ignition switch. Mine separated like that too and I 'fixed' it the same way. Lasted close to a year like that then failed altogether. New one at Autozone was under $15.

Had bought a faulty ignition switch from Oreillys after the old one shorted. So far no issues. Thanks y'all.
