Here's a start, CD of the master parts catalog. Invaluable.

And here's the shop manual on CD.

Amazon.com: 1939-1948 Ford, Ford Truck, Lincoln, Mercury Factory Shop Manual on CD-ROM: Everything Else

What makes the CDs so useful is you can print the page of what you are working on, take it out to the shop and get it as dirty as you want. When done just toss it.

Another Mercury truck owner to welcome to FTE. My 1949 M-47 Mercury was all together til I took it all apart. I'm now slowly putting it all back together.
I'm using the notes and drawing that I did as it came apart and also the "1949-50-51 Ford F-Series Trucks Shop Manual" to put everything back together. Any problems that I have run into have been answered here.
Any more back ground on your Merc that you would care to share?? Any help that I can give just ask away. There are a few Merc owners on here to help with the Merc specific questions.
