My brother needs the whole manual to repair a 1973 Ford Truck.
He bought a CD called 1973 Ford truck shop manual but this CD does not have any information to repair the truck, it is only for Ford cars.
Could you please tell me where can I find all the manuals to repair this truck?
Thanks in advance
any parts store should have them, autozone-napa and so-forth,haynes manuals are very informative, but i would look to find a chiltons, happy hunting.........
Thanks for your help
Could you please tell me if we need to look again for a shop manual? I mean I do not if our mistake was to buy a shop manual instead of repair manual. Sorry could you please tell me the diference between? Thanks again
i think you can order shop manuals online, they are probably a little more in depth about certain procedures, i would love to have one, but i get buy just fine with my chilton book, but i am pretty mechanicaly inclined so i mainly use the book for reference....but haynes and chiltons both are good books so you would be safe with either one........
If you purchase a manual as stated above whether from a sponsor or part store its a given that both terms are inter-changeable.
just dont get a book referring to time as that type book gives a shop the average time needed to complete and charge for a given repair. my question is do you keep your pc in your garage that you would get a cd? i dont even like to work in the garage until the temp drops below 38 degrees.
OK. thanks again for your help.
I was worry about my purchase so, with your explanation I can conclude, that the problem is that the company sent to us the wrong CD.
If our confirmation order was for a 1973 Ford truck shop manual we are OK but they sent us a CD that has information only for cars.
Happy new year, thanks for clarify my doubt, now I know that a shop manual is like a repair manual.. Regards
Yeah, you are right. But my brother asked me for a CD. Reading your message I am going to tell my brother it is better to have a book.
Another think is that my brother is in Mexico, and you know the weather is not so bad but the problem is how is he going to consult the manual and repair? ha,ha,ha I am going to ask him. Thanks and happy new year.
