EFI AOD to carbed 351w

Is this possible? I think I have to get new TV cable (don't have one) The trans is from an 88 econoline with the 351W EFI. I have switched to carb. Hoping I don't have to find a new trans. Any help would be appreciated, I have a build thread for my truck here

If it is an AOD, it is non-electronic and other than the TV cable, could care less about the engine management or lack thereof.

Does it have a bundle of wires coming out of it?

Note the AOD is going to look the same as the AODE and 4R70W, but the difference in the shifters as explained in the first link, as well as the bundle of wires as per the prior post should tell the tale.

AFAIK if it had a TV cable, it's an AOD--no reference to a TV cable on the other transmissions.

Thanks guys, I'm just going by what I was told the tranny was. I am not real familiar with fords, but the more I work with them the more I like the designs, parts, etc.

Neither the AODE nor the 4R70W (both electronic) were ever available behind the 351. It has to be an AOD non-electronic trans.

The 351W EFI, I thought that had a C6 in 88. IIRC they never put an AOD behind a 351 after the early 80's Crown Vic. 89 the E4OD came out. Does the trans have a vacuum modulator coming out of the rear? If it is an AOD, it would most likely be behind a 302. Look to see where the EGR pipe goes, into the intake it is a 302, into the pass manifiold it is a 351W

Ok, got some wires hanging out drivers side and what looks like a vacuum modulator hanging out passenger rear. From the diagram it looks like a C6 pan. the motor and trans came out of an econoline and it is a 351.
