Best place to buy engine bolts?
#16
If push came to shove, you could always go buy a large handfull of cheap course thread bolts of asorted diameters longer than you think you will need. run them into the threads on the block until they bottom out and measure the remaining length. mic. the mounting bracket and allow for whatever washers you will use, add that all together round down so you don't bottom out in the block. When done, go buy the more pricy grade 5 or 8 bolts you need, in the determined lengths. It would be a little time consuming, but you would know for sure, and could even start a compilation to post here which members could add to. We could start our own database.I would reccommend getting corresponding butt end taps to run into the threads in the block to clean them out, then blow them clean before you run your bolts in with a little light grease. This will not only make it easier to get them in, but also give you more accurate torque readings later during assembly.
Good luck,
Mac.

eventually i'm gonna need another alternator bracket, waterpump pulley, crank pulley, power steering bracket, and 2 fuel filter brackets and the associated hardware for all of them, speaking of which, when i bought my engines i got a serp crank pulley and what i believe to be spacers, these would just be used to line up the pulleys right?
